Hampden Agencies Limited (HAL) supports its local
community in a number of ways. In 2008/2009 HAL undertook a new initiative by
seconding a member of staff to work pro bono for Bishopsgate Institute.
Bishopsgate Institute is a longstanding cultural
and educational foundation providing a wealth of resources to those living and
working in the City, as well as visitors from further afield. It offers courses
in a variety of subjects, an open access library, a cultural programme, and
venue hire. In addition, the Institute runs a club for local pensioners and a
charitable programme giving grants within the immediate area.
To maintain its facilities and meet the needs of
21st century users, Bishopsgate Institute is preparing for a major
refurbishment programme. This will preserve the fabric of the listed building,
expand the learning facilities, and enable the Institute to welcome even more
people in future.
HAL’s Communications Executive, Chloё Reddaway,
worked with Bishopsgate Institute’s staff over the course of a year to
strengthen the organisation’s profile within the City and raise awareness of its
resources.

history, the courses, cultural events, library, charitable programme, and venue
