Hampden Spring Roadshows cancelled and office closed

Coronavirus COVID-19

This is to advise of the specific actions that we have taken to maintain the service provided by our Private Client Directors (PCDs) to all of our clients during the course of the Coronavirus outbreak.

Office closure

Please note that due to Government advice on COVID-19, Hampden Agencies is implementing our business continuity plan resulting in the majority of staff working from home for a period of time.

A few staff remain in the office to provide necessary back up services so long as Government advice permits.

Whilst we are not in the office itself, we continue to function in as normal a way as possible and will continue to provide our clients with the services required to assist with their underwriting at Lloyd’s.

We kindly ask for your patience and assistance during this time as some communication channels may work slightly differently than normal, although every effort is being made to reduce any disruption to you.

All staff remain contactable via their mobile phones and email. If you require to be put through to a member of our staff but do not have their direct line number, please call the Hampden Switchboard on 020 7863 6500

Spring Presentations and Educational workshops – CANCELLED

Having considered the Government’s latest advice specifically in relation to the potential risks posed by the Coronavirus to our clients and staff, we have regrettably decided to cancel our Spring Presentations and Educational workshops. Clearly we are disappointed by this, but we have to recognise the importance of limiting the risk of infection and keeping everyone safe.

In order to keep clients fully informed, we plan to produce the "flipbook" of presentation slides which will be sent via Members' usual method of communication. We will also upload to our website, recordings of the presentations together with a shorter, overview version. The slides and access to the website recording will be available by 23 April.

We appreciate that with the 2017 account loss settlement due towards the end of May, there are a number of key discussions to be had. Having successfully tested the resilience of our systems and communication links, we are confident that our PCDs will remain easy to contact regardless of location.

Impact of Coronavirus COVID-19 on Lloyd’s

Following our initial article on our website of 11 February, there will be a further article in the March Newsletter which is due to be published and dispatched this week.

Continuity at Hampden

On 10 March we tested our office disaster business plan by requiring at short notice all of our staff to work from home in order to check their ability to maintain contact with the office and with our clients. We found no areas of failure or concern and therefore we will be able to keep in contact with Members even if we have to close the office.

We continue to closely monitor all official Government guidelines and advice and are taking all necessary steps to protect staff and clients alike.
