Hiscox plc Group Chief Executive Bronek Masojada to retire


Bronek Masojada who has been with Hiscox since 1993 will be retiring at the end of the year.
Bronek is an industry heavyweight who has led Hiscox for the last 21 years and exerted influence in the modernisation of the Lloyd's market, for example with the digital risk placement system PPL, and formerly acted as deputy chairman of Lloyd's between 2001-2007.
Aki Hussain, a KPMG-trained chartered accountant, joined Hiscox five years ago from Prudential as its CFO and has previously worked in the consumer banking division at Lloyds Banking Group and the consumer division of what is now Virgin Media.
Hiscox's half-year results are due out on 3 August and will be presented by Bronek. The trading update is expected to illustrate a strong half-year performance.
